Hays Salon began in 2011 by best friends Alex Hay & Jasim Al-Mutar, collaborating together to create a new business venture, in the hope that a spread sheet guru and a creative mind would fuse together to make the perfect salon partnership.
We aim to make our clients feel at home by creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, that delivers a professional service with a down to earth vibe.

Alex
Creative director / 20 Years Experience
With over 20 years experience Alex aims to deliver the the very best hairdressing experience. Trained under one of the best hairdressers in East Riding mastering the timeless foundations of classic haircuts and colours that stand the test of time.
Always keeping an eye on current trends, researching and developing his skills constantly, which has enabled him to fuse traditional and modern techniques of hairdressing. Giving him a unique blend of expertly executed classics with a modern twist.
His vision on hairdressing is very clear, he wants to deliver well-executed, wearable, fashion-lead hair and done in a way that makes you feel amazing.
JAzz
Salon Manager
While not a hairdresser himself, Jazz plays a crucial role in ensuring that your experience is as amazing as it can be.
From the very start he has always strived to ensure the salon runs as smoothly as possible. While you might catch him occasionally looking busy, he spends most of his time behind the scenes working on endless spreadsheets. A true people person, Jazz loves to chat with clients and make everyone feel welcomed to ensure their Hays Salon experience is exceptional.
Amy
Stylist / 3 Year Experience
Amy began her career at Hays Salon in 2019, initially as an apprentice and now as a fully qualified Level 3 stylist.
With nearly 3 years as a qualified stylist under her belt, Amy is always keen to improve every aspect of her hairdressing repertoire.
Amy is passionate about all aspects of hairdressing; she approaches her work with care, striving to provide the best possible experience for all of her clients. A self-proclaimed perfectionist, Amy is determined to achieve success and continually improve her abilities.
Amy is technically excellent in both cutting and colouring and she particularly excels in balayage and highlights. In 2021, she achieved a significant milestone by winning the L’Oreal Colour Trophy Future Talent Award. Amy’s journey in the world of hairdressing has only just begun and we are excited to see all she can achieve over the coming years.
Georgia
Graduate Stylist
Georgia started at Hays Salon in April 2022 as an apprentice. In her previous life she was a teacher but decided looking after screaming kids just wasn’t for her, she needed a job that would utilize her creativity! She whipped through her qualification and passed with a distinction (the best you can get). She’s now a graduate stylist and is looking forward developing her skills whilst creating beautiful hair.
She has found a real passion for balayage, as it allows her to be more creative, expressive and tailor each colour to the individual. We’re excited to see Georgia hit the salon floor and start her hairdressing career!
Paige
Stylist / 8 Years Experience
With 8 years of experience under her belt, Paige brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Hays Salon team.
Having honed her skills at a reputable local salon, she joined Hays a year ago and quickly became a valued member of the team. Paige is dedicated to delivering the best hair and experience for her clients.
